Shanwell Wildlife Rescue Trust (SWRT), which is a recognised Scottish charity, was established in 2004 in Broughty Ferry, Dundee on the North East of Scotland to provide a frontline rescue and treatment service for injured wild animals. Our aim is to heal every animal capable of surviving its injuries and return it back to its natural environment, while giving those who will not survive, a comfortable and dignified death. Shanwell Wildlife Rescue Trust is operated by volunteers who do not receive payment for their services, our common commitment is for the welfare of wildlife and the environments in which they live.

PLEASE HELP US TO CONTINUE TO HELP WILDLIFE Whilst it is not our policy to "charge" or otherwise require payment for our services, in order to meet rising fuel costs, veterinary charges and to update our equipment & facilities we do accept and appreciate financial donations. We are dependant upon financial donations from the public and local businesses to help us continue to provide our services.
If you feel that we are doing a good job and that you would like to support your local wildlife rescue please make a donation. This can be done in a variety of ways:-
